Mission Statement

 

The historic Blue M of the St. Michaels Buzzers has signified integrity, success and hockey excellence since 1933. These principles will be the foundation of our spring hockey program designed for the elite hockey player and students of St. Michaels College School. Goal of the program is skills development in a fun environment.

 

Registration

 

  • We will start accepting applications on December 17th for the 2008 Junior Buzzers.
  • The only way to apply for our program is on line at by clicking on "2008 Registration Form" at the top of this page
  • Method of payment is Visa or Master card.
  • Senior Applications will be processed upon registration.
  • Junior applications will be processed upon acceptance into the program.
  • If a club is given a junior team we will not accept applications for that level. (See coaches list)
  • All applications must include a signed copy of an insurance application.

 

Tournaments

  • Junior program includes three tournaments
  • Senior Program includes two tournaments.
  • Teams can enter as many tournaments as they would like but these costs are not included in registration.
  • Teams can enter tournaments as the Junior Buzzers until September 2008.

Duration

 

  • 7 weeks Monday – Thursday from April 28th, 2008 – June 19th, 2008(The week after AAA tryouts)
  • Practices are 1.5 hours and will be at the same time every week.
  • Off ice conditioning is 1 hour.

 

Location 

 

  • Chesswood Arena conveniently located at Sheppard and Allen Road.
  • Each team will practice for 1.5 hours each week. Practices will be at same time every week.
  • Junior teams can choose to practice at another facility as arranged with Program Director.

 

Off Ice Conditioning

 

  • Will be provided under direction of NHL and St. Michaels Buzzers alumni Dr. Paddy Graham at Pinnacle Performance at Chesswood arena.
  • It is included as part of the senior program and is an option for Junior program.
  • Sessions will be conducted on same day as weekly practice.

  • Team applications are being accepted until Jan 1st for 2008 teams
  • Currently there are teams available at a number of levels – 2001 and 1996 level.

Senior Program 1995 – 1994 – 1993 - 1992 – Elite 

 

DATE   April 28th, 2008 – June 12th, 2008

 

You must attend St. Michaels College School to play in the Senior Program 1995 – 1992.

 

Program includes

 

  • 7 weeks – 1.5 hour practices and 1 hour of off ice conditioning weekly from Monday – Thursday at Chesswood Arena.
  • 2 tournaments as determined by the coaches
  • Junior Buzzers Sweater and socks.
  • Fully insured through Canadian Sports Insurance Brokers.
  • 8 Tickets to Junior Buzzer kick off night at 2008 Buzzer playoff game.
  • Buzzer game passes for two for the rest of 2008 season including playoffs.
  • Buzzers 2008 – 2009 season passes for two.
  • Additional Junior Buzzers merchandise can be purchased at www.stmichaelsbuzzers.com. We have a wide variety and clothing and merchandise available. Team discounts do apply.

 

About the program

 

  • We will accept the first 40 applications from St. Michaels College students currently playing at the AAA, AA or A level of hockey.
  • All qualified applicants will be accepted into the program. Some players will only participate on Taxi squad and play in tournaments when required by coaches. There registration fee will reflect this.
  • The number of teams will be determined by the number of applicants per level
  • Players will be graded at two– 1.5 hours assessments taking place in the St. Mikes Arena on two Professional Development Days – January 25th and February 18th. Each session will cost $20.00 to attend.
  • Players must sign up on line at attend assessment and must attend both tryouts to participate in the program/
  • Teams will be comprised of 17 players and a Taxi squad  - The Black Aces
  • Black Aces players will fully participate in the program but will only play in tournaments when the team is short or/as determined by the coach. Their registration fees are reduced accordingly.
  • All players must play at there own age level except on Elite team.

Junior Program – 2001- 2000-1999 – 1998 - 1997 - 1996

Program includes

  • Junior teams can choose to practice at another facility as arranged with Program Director.
  • 3 tournaments as determined by the coaches
  • Junior Buzzers Sweater and socks.

  • 8 Tickets to Junior Buzzer night at 2008 Buzzers game.
  • Buzzer game passes for two for the rest of 2008 season including playoffs.
  • Buzzer Season pass for two to 2008 – 2009 season
  • Optional dry land package available at any arena.
  • Additional merchandise can be purchased at www.stmichaelsbuzzers.com We have a wide variety and clothing and merchandise available. Team discounts do apply.

 

About the program

 

  • This level will accept applications from AAA and AA players until February 1st, 2008.
  • Teams will be determined by February 7th and you will be contacted by that date.
  • There will be no tryouts at these levels.
  • Coaches contact information is listed below.
  • Teams can choose the carry 15 players but are responsible for the shortfall in registration fees.
  • Teams will be comprised of 17 players and a 3 player Taxi squad  - The Black Aces  
  • Black Aces players will fully participate in the program but will only play in tournaments if the team is short – which is often the case in spring hockey.

  • All players must play at there own age level.
